You must have a broadband internet connection in order to listen to The
Bomb 102. The Bomb 102 broadcasts at 128kbps, so your download speed must be
faster than 128kbps. If your download speed is any less, you will not be able
to listen to The Bomb 102.
Run a Speedtest using
the graphic above and make note of the "downstream", the higher it is than 128kbps,
the better. If you just barely have enough bandwidth to listen, then you won't
be able to do much online and be able to listen. Any connection over 512kbps
(0.5mbps) will enable you to listen and do whatever else you want online and
any basic broadband package from your local cable or phone company is likely 768kbps
or higher.
You may experience random drop outs, especially if
you listen with the pop-up Live365 player. The advertisements embeded in the player
window occasionally cause disconnects. It is recommended that you use a third
party player such as Winamp to listen.
